Realme today launched its Realme C15 and Realme C12 smartphones in the C series in India, as it promised. The new budget phones from the company pack a similar 6.5-inch HD+ mini-drop display and are powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, just like the previous phone C11. However, these come with upgraded camera modules and also a bigger 6000mAh battery. The only differences between C15 and C12 are cameras and fast charging. with support for 18W fast charging with 18W fast charger in the box.
Realme C15 and Realme C12 Full Specs
Design
The phones feature a geometric gradient design on the back and also have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both the realme C15 and realme C12 come in Power Blue and Power Silver colors. They also feature Splash resistant P2i coating pon their body.
Dimensions of the phones are 164.5×75.9×9.8mm and their weight is 209g.
Display
The Realme C15 and C12 sport a similar 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) mini-drop display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 88.7% screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.
Processor
Both devices are powered by MediaTek Helio G35 12nm processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The C12 packs 3GB LPDDR4x RAM with 32GB (eMMC 5.1) storage, while the C15 packs up to 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 64GB (eMMC 5.1) storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.
Cameras
The C15 sports a quad-rear camera with a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, an 8MP 119° ultra-wide camera, a 2MP retro sensor, and a 2MP mono camera.
The C12, on the other hand, sports a triple rear camera setup and has a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, a 2MP mono camera, and a 2MP 4cm macro sensor.
The C15 has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, while the C12 has a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Battery and Fast Charging
Both the phones pack a big 6000mAh battery. However, Realme C15 comes with 18w fast charging, and Realme C12 comes with 10w charging. Realme C15 also comes with an 18W fast charger inside the box.
Connectivity Features
Connectivity options on both the phones include triple slots (nano + nano + microSD), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, micro USB, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Price, Availability
The realme C12 is priced at Rs. 8999 for the 3GB+32GB version and will be available via Flipkart and realme.com from August 24 and via offline stores from August 31.
The realme C15 is priced at Rs. 9999 for the 3GB+32GB storage version and goes up to Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB+64GB version. It will also be available via Flipkart and realme.com from August 27 and via offline stores from September 3.
Should You Buy?
These are the new budget phones from the company, following the last Realme C11 in the series. The new phones in C series are upgrades in terms of camera and battery, which make them good deals under this category. So, if you are looking for a budget phone with big battery and a lot of cameras, realme C15 and Realme C12 are the right options to consider.
