The Indian government today banned 43 new Chinese apps, including AliExpress, Alipay, etc. As per the statement from the official release, these apps are engaged in activities that are “prejudicial” to the security and integrity of India.
Previously, in the first move, the government banned 59 Chinese apps in the country back in June, and later in September, it banned 118 more apps that also included PUBG Mobile. Today’s ban takes the tally of banned apps by the government to 220.

These newly banned apps are expected to be deleted from the Play Store and Apple Store soon. However, if you have already purchased something from AliExpress, you can cancel the order if it’s possible and get a refund.

According to an official press release from the government, “this action was taken based on the inputs regarding these apps for engaging in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.”
